A huge congratulations to our Ballet for Sports gymnasts, Isobel, Eden, Rosamai, Sofia and Alice, who have been selected for England Squad 2024! We are so proud of you all!
All five gymnasts (from City of Manchester Rhythmic Academy) are all currently working hard towards their British Gymnastics British Qualifications Testing ballet assessment at the end of March. We love working with gymnasts from all across the country via our online training – helping gymnasts enhance their training using ballet, and preparing them for British Gymnastics BQT assessments. What an incredible opportunity for Ila! Ila was one of 12 girls selected at her high school to be part of a project with English National Ballet!
Last night was the culmination of the project with a live performance on the stage of the 2381-seat Liverpool Empire Theatre – wow! We are so proud of you.
What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I'm sure we'll be welcoming Yvette back for more workshops in the future!
Last Sunday, Katerina had the amazing experience of performing on the stage of the 1850-seat Birmingham Hippodrome in Birmingham Royal Ballet's Sleeping Beauty Dreams.
Thank you to Katerina for sharing these beautiful photos with us from such a memorable day. And thank you to all the team at Birmingham Royal Ballet for this incredible experience for our students!
Huge congratulations – we are so proud of you! EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT for an EXCLUSIVE event for our adult dancers and Silver Swans!

Our Silver Swans® Licensee, Johanna, was invited to contribute to a feature in the iWeekend which was published this weekend. As one of the featured experts in this article, Johanna debunks the myth that ballet is only for younger people. We are delighted to announce that Miss Johanna has successfully passed her Progressing Ballet Technique Level 3 renewal assessment!
Miss Johanna is one of only a handful of teachers in the UK who holds the highest level of Progressing Ballet Technique qualification attainable – Level 3. Every year, in order to maintain her qualification, she has to be re-assessed, and she passed with flying colours! Johanna was assessed by the founder of PBT and here are some extracts from her assessment feedback: "I love how you approach working with students with scoliosis and the adjustments you make to our PBT exercises to ensure safe dance training" "I am delighted with your understanding of the knee and its surrounding musculoskeletal groups, and the importance of activating and aligning these correctly. It’s clear that you have a deep understanding of the complex relationships between the different muscle groups in the body, and how the PBT methodology works to strengthen, mobilise, and connect them" |
