Matthew Bourne's New Adventures - Cinderella

On Saturday 17th March, seven of our Silver Swans (aged 57-80) performed in the Imperial War Museum North's collaboration with Matthew Bourne's New Adventures. 

The selected performing company was chosen after an initial workshop with Matthew Bourne dancers based on their current touring production of Cinderella. After weeks of rehearsals, our Silver Swans gave four performances throughout the day – and were even fortunate enough to perform in front of Matthew Bourne's New Adventures dancers!

Matthew Bourne's New Adventures Cinderella is the classic Cinderella love story, but based in London during WWII. The inter-generational Cinderella Museum Project responds to the wartime stories and photographs that evoke themes of family, evacuation and community.

We are so proud of them all, and so pleased to hear that they had such a wonderful time.
