Whether you're an absolute beginner or looking to refresh over the basics, then this is the perfect course for you. Taught live on Zoom, our complete beginner online adult ballet course runs for four weeks.
Many 'beginner' adult ballet classes are not truly a beginner class – a little knowledge of ballet is required to join. However in this course, we take everything right from the very start. You'll learn the foundations of ballet, taught by a fully-qualified and experienced ballet teacher. In the class, we cover the correct positions of the arms and legs, basic ballet steps and their progressions, an introduction to basic techniques, plus ballet terminology. And best of all, you can join in our online classes from anywhere in the world! Adult ballet classes can help with posture, mobility, flexibility, strength and muscle tone which is beneficial for adults of all ages. We also work closely with adult sportspeople who use our online classes to enhance their sports training. Each week of the course builds on the previous week, but don't worry if you miss the class as you'll receive a recording of the lesson afterwards so you can catch up. |
After doing a lot of research into adult ballet lessons I found the Janet Lomas School Of Dancing. This seemed like a perfect fit as it offered a four-week beginner ballet course and weekly ballet lessons. The beginner ballet course was an excellent introduction to ballet technique with a great amount of description and demonstration and the adult ballet lessons cater for varying abilities. The classes are a great opportunity to dance alongside people around the world, which is an experience that cannot be missed.
