Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital Donation

At Christmas, our Silver Swans raised £244.05 at their Christmas party raffle. The money was used to purchase a small heated hospital cage and 100 syringes for Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital.

The small heated hospital cage with a radiator was handmade by BJS of Worcester and delivered this week - perfect timing for all the spring babies!

Silver Swans® trip to the cinema

On Tuesday 19th February a group of 37 of our Silver Swans went to the cinema to watch Don Quixote. The screening was a live link of Carlos Acosta's production for the Royal Ballet, performed at the Royal Opera House, London.

It was such an enjoyable evening, and the production was absolutely fantastic.

We also had our Silver Swans watching in cinemas in Bolton, Burnley and Stockport.

Past student pops in!

It was lovely having a past student return to join in our classes during his half term break from full time ballet school.

He is currently in his first year of training at Elmhurst Ballet School (in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet).

UK Dance Class Championships - Bradford 2019

On Sunday 3rd February eight of our Junior students competed in the UK Dance Class Championships in Bradford.

Students had to progress through three elimination heats, with each student learning and performing a short dance in front of a large audience and three adjudicators.

We were delighted that all eight of our students reached the semi-finals in Ballet with the results as follows:

Ages 6-7 (49 entrants)
1st place
3rd place
6th place

Ages 8-9 (59 entrants)
1st place
4th place
7th place

Ages 10-11 (58 entrants)
5th place
