This week we said a very sad farewell to an exceptionally gifted young student as she embarks on her new adventures in full-time training at ballet school (Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, Hertfordshire). Her training will include academics alongside intense classical ballet studies.
Above are two photos: on the left, this was her very first theatrical Rainbow Tap exam preview with us (shortly after starting as a complete beginner, aged five). On the right, aged eleven, she shows what a beautiful dancer she has become. We have seen her talent grow over the years, and can't wait to see what the future holds for her. We wish her well, and hope all her dreams come true. We are very proud to announce that Miss Johanna has just received the wonderful news that she has been awarded her Licentiate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in Imperial Classical Ballet.
It was a tough two-and-a-half-hour examination with an international senior examiner. Thank you to four of our grade five students who danced so beautifully under the tuition of Miss Johanna for a small section of this exam. Congratulations to one of our twelve-year-old students who has just been offered a second year training as a Junior Associate with Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre in Musical Theatre, Jazz, Ballet and Tap. We are very proud of all your hard work, which has also been commented on by your teachers at MDDC. |
