Rhythmic Gymnastics British Qualifications Testing

Congratulations to rhythmic gymnasts Daisy, Milana, Alice, Eden, Sofia K, Sofia K, Sofia D and Isobel from City of Manchester Rhythmic Academy who all passed their ballet assessment at the British Qualifications Testing.

Full-time ballet school success

After months of auditioning for three major ballet full-time schools, the results are all in... and we're thrilled that Eliana has accepted her place to begin training at Elmhurst Ballet School from September!

Not only was Eliana offered a place at Elmhurst Ballet School, but she was also offered a place at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and made the waiting list for the Royal Ballet School!

For some schools, Eliana had two rounds of auditions, and for some, three rounds. Each round was more intense, concluding in full-day auditions and even a two-day audition, with students attending from across the world! Eliana successfully reached the final round for all the schools she applied for. Just to give a little snapshot of what an incredible achievement this is – The Royal Ballet School announced that they had over 1400 auditions for their lower and upper school this year. Each school only accepts approximately 12 girls and a few places on wait list every year for Year 7 entry.

And, Eliana is also off to the Royal Ballet School's Summer Intensive once again this summer after being awarded a Direct Entry Award following last year's intensive!

Northern Ballet Centre for Advanced Training

Congratulations to Lorelle who has successfully auditioned for a place at Northern Ballet (Leeds) Centre for Advanced Training!

Lorelle was scouted for the programme at a workshop earlier this year and invited to attend the audition.

GB Skate – Spring Solo 2023

Wishing Sally, Isabel and Jessica lots of luck at the GB Skate Spring Solo Dance Festival at Great Yarmouth this weekend!

All three girls take weekly online ballet and limbering classes with us to enhance their skating training.

Birmingham Royal Ballet workshop

On Sunday 5th March, Elise, Eliana and Katerina had the amazing opportunity of attending a Swan Lake-themed ballet workshop hosted by Birmingham Royal Ballet at The Lowry.

The class was taught by former Birmingham Royal Ballet dancer, Jenny Murphy, and our students experienced a ballet class, followed by learning extracts from Birmingham Royal Ballet's current touring production of Swan Lake. At the end, their parents were invited watch them perform the extract from Swan Lake they had learnt.

What an incredible experience for them!
