March was a fantastic month for our #balletforsports students. Huge congratulations to everyone who has competed with great results!

Here is our March round-up from competitions – thank you to everyone who shared their amazing results and photos with us!

British Qualification Testing – ballet for rhythmic gymnasts

We would like to wish lots of luck to the rhythmic gymnasts we have worked with this year in preparation for their British Qualification Testing 2024 this weekend at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

In preparation for this year, we have coached over 60 hours of BQT ballet to individual and group gymnasts, across the country at all three assessed levels.

In order to compete at the British Championships, all qualified rhythmic gymnasts have to pass a difficult British Gymnastics set ballet assessment, alongside flexibility, strength & conditioning assessments.

Games of Rome 2024

Wonderful results from our Ballet for Sports programme skaters at their first international competition of the year in Rome:

Emma – Senior 1st place
Jessica – Youth 3rd place

Congratulations also to Georgia, Sophia, Nicole and Holly on some great skating to start the season, too!

Alongside our skaters attending weekly ballet and conditioning classes, we love working with skaters on Zoom on their performance and musicality for their programmes. What a strong start to the year

World Skate Team GB selections

Congratulations to four of our Ballet for Sports skaters who have been selected to represent Team GB at the World Skate International Series in Trieste, Italy!

England Team Selection

A huge congratulations to our Ballet for Sports gymnasts, Isobel, Eden, Rosamai, Sofia and Alice, who have been selected for England Squad 2024! We are so proud of you all!

All five gymnasts (from City of Manchester Rhythmic Academy) are all currently working hard towards their British Gymnastics British Qualifications Testing ballet assessment at the end of March.

We love working with gymnasts from all across the country via our online training – helping gymnasts enhance their training using ballet, and preparing them for British Gymnastics BQT assessments.

English National Ballet workshop

What an incredible opportunity for Ila! Ila was one of 12 girls selected at her high school to be part of a project with English National Ballet!

Last night was the culmination of the project with a live performance on the stage of the 2381-seat Liverpool Empire Theatre – wow! We are so proud of you.

Adult & Silver Swans ballet online workshop

A HUGE thank you to Birmingham Royal Ballet dancer, Yvette Knight, for a fabulous mime workshop, exclusively for our adults and Silver Swans this afternoon

Everyone loved hearing the stories of Yvette's career, tips passed down from the great ballet masters, and of course, learning mime sequences from famous ballets!

What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I'm sure we'll be welcoming Yvette back for more workshops in the future!
