The students were taught a non-syllabus ballet class, followed by learning an extract from Beauty and the Beast. The teacher was Alex from Birmingham Royal Ballet and the class was accompanied by a live pianist.
The Silver Swans performed two dances – first was a soloist performing the Odette solo (Act II) from Swan Lake. The second dance was a group performance of the Bolero from Coppélia. The ladies enjoyed a fantastic day – and they all gave a wonderful performance.
Congratulations to our student, as she was one of only 21 competitors who was chosen to go through to the finals later that day. This was a wonderful achievement as she was the smallest, and one of the youngest in the class, competing against children as old as fourteen.
Congratulations to our students who have participated in multiple photo shoots for two dancewear companies recently - Dancewear Central and Roch Valley Dancewear. It is wonderful seeing our students used regularly for modelling by these international dancewear companies and their photos being used across their websites, catalogues, email newsletters and social media.
Our students have been featured alongside dancers from English National Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet School, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and Elmhurst Ballet School. |
