On Thursday 25th June, two of our students participated in a socially-distanced photo shoot for Dancewear Central.

In order to maintain social distancing, Miss Johanna joined the session on Zoom to give direction to the students.

We also love this grid of images that was sent in a recent Dancewear Central newsletter, featuring three of our students:

We were delighted to see a photo in the ISTD DANCE Magazine from the Boys Dance Day and spot our student in the image!

The Boys Dance Day was held at Laine Theatre Arts, Surrey on 2nd February 2020. Our student enjoyed a day of classes in ballet, musical theatre and jazz with Richard Ramsey, Simon Hardwick and Philip Joel, whose credits include the Royal Ballet, 42nd Street and Fame.

ISTD Grade 1 Ballet

Some of our Grade 1 ballet students, who have been taking classes with us online, created some beautiful drawings of what they imagined their set Grade 1 ballet dance, 'Picking Blackberries' would look like.

We absolutely loved their creativity and imagination!

Silver Swans® online 60th birthday party!

On Sunday 7th June, we hosted an online Silver Swans® 60th birthday ballet party for one of our Silver Swans and all her friends.

The class was a mix of some of our regular Silver Swans and some of her personal friends and family who were joining in from as far afield as Corsica. For most, it was their first ever ballet class!

Throughout lockdown, we have still been running our classes, but online!

Our children's school have received pre-recorded ballet classes and also many have been taking part in our regular weekly live ballet, limbering and PBT classes.

We are also incredibly lucky to be able to offer for our students to take private classes with Tala Lee-Turton while in lockdown, too. Tala Lee-Turton trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and went on to dance with the Astrakhan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet and English National Ballet.

Royal Voluntary Service Virtual Village Hall

We were honoured to be invited to once again to host a Facebook Live Silver Swans® ballet class for the Royal Voluntary Service.

The session was hosted as part of their Virtual Village Hall.
