Congratulations

Congratulations to one of our students who has just accepted his place to begin full-time training in September at Elmhurst School for Ballet, in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet.

This is an incredible achievement, especially as he only stepped into his first dance class a little over two years ago.

He had to attend an initial audition against hundreds of other children from all around the world in January, and then was invited to a final round audition in March, where the final selection was made. On average, only 10-15 boys are accepted each year.

Elmhurst School for Ballet is a full-time vocational ballet school based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. It is one of the oldest vocational dance schools in the UK and based in beautiful purpose-built premises.

From September, he will board at the school and intensively study ballet alongside his academic studies in Year Seven.

However, not only was he accepted at Elmhurst, but he was also given the following offers too, making it a very difficult decision for him:
